A truly well-made garment is as beautiful on the inside as it is on the outside, and enclosed seams are the secret behind that hallmark of quality. This workshop takes you through a range wonderful techniques that enclose all raw edges for a finish that is clean, durable and deeply satisfying. We'll cover the run and fell seam; the classic French seam and its cousin the mock French seam; the standing fell, also known as the felled French seam and the welt seam, a strong, flat option with real tailoring heritage. Along the way we'll discuss which seams suit which fabrics and garment types, so you always reach for exactly the right technique. All materials and full instructions will be provided in your workshop kit This is an early morning workshop which will finish as the show opens for the day.
