In this workshop, you will learn the basic technique of locker hooking whilst making a pretty and practical rag rug mug mat to take home with you. For anyone new to the craft, locker hooking looks similar to punch needle or rug hooked (loopy) rag rugging, but is more hard-wearing as the loops are secured in place using string or fabric. Author Elspeth Jackson will teach you how to prepare your rug canvas, work with different fabrics and apply this technique to larger projects (such as rugs). Give it a go - you're bound to get hooked! All materials and full instructions will be provided in your workshop kit
