The centred zip is one of the most commonly used fastenings in dressmaking, yet it's also one that many beginners find daunting. This hands-on workshop is here to change that! We'll begin with the basics, understanding zip anatomy, choosing the right zip for your project, and preparing your seam correctly before the zip goes anywhere near your machine. From there, we'll work through the insertion process step by step, covering how to achieve those all-important straight, even lines of stitching that give a truly polished finish. We'll also look at common pitfalls and how to avoid them, so you leave feeling genuinely confident in your technique. Please note this workshop requires you to be able to thread a sewing machine and sew a straight line. All materials and full instructions will be provided in your workshop kit This is an early morning workshop which will finish as the show opens for the day.
