Join Hannah Thompson to create your own beautiful bird appliquÚ in this relaxed and creative free motion workshop. You will learn how to build your design using simple fabric collage techniques, making it easy to create the shape and structure of your bird with confidence. Hannah will then guide you through free motion stitching methods that add texture, depth and movement, bringing your blue tit to life with expressive stitched marks. In this project we will use water soluble stabiliser to guide your stitches. Hannah will share plenty of helpful hints and tips to build your skills and confidence at the machine. This is a friendly, supportive session suitable for all levels. You will leave with a piece that can be continued at home and finished in a way that suits you, whether that's as a framed textile artwork, a decorative panel, or incorporated into a larger project. All materials and full instructions will be provided in your workshop kit
