Never touched a sewing machine? This is your starting point. In this beginner-friendly workshop, you'll learn how a sewing machine works, how to thread it confidently, and how to control your stitching with ease. We'll cover essential techniques including straight seams, reverse stitching, and turning corners, the building blocks for any sewing project. You'll practise on paper and fabric, building confidence as you go. You will sew several different types of seams, increasing your sewing knowledge. By the end of the session, you'll understand your machine well enough to tackle simple projects at home. A friendly workshop for anyone who's been nervous about getting started. Leave with the skills and confidence to begin your sewing journey. All materials and full instructions will be provided in your workshop kit This is an early morning workshop which will finish as the show opens for the day.
